About the Organic Hemp Seed and Tea Tree Oil 50/50 Blend:

There are only two ingredients. Here is some supplemental information about this versatile oil blend. Tea Tree & Hempseed Oil is a natural substance that promotes skin healing.

Disclaimer:There is a possibility of allergy to anything you put on your skin. Both Tea Tree and Hemp Seed Oil are well tolerated. Tea Tree Oil is one of the Essential Oils that can be applied undiluted to the skin. Many essential oils (such as sage) are beneficial in dilute dosages, but toxic in large doses.

How to Use:

I can not tell you that this can be used as a medicine, but I can tell you that it can be applied to superficial cuts, scratches, and bug bites to fight infection and speed healing. Apply to clean skin. Not intended for internal use or deep cuts. Somewhat effective for repelling fleas and lice, but does not make them dead if you do not drown them in it. Take it camping or hiking, or add to your first aid supplies. It is kid safe and does not sting.

Explanation of Active Ingredients in more Detail:

Both ingredients are bought in bulk, from a company in Canada that imports from the UK. The rest of the world is not as fond of GMOs as we are here in the States. Both oils are 'certified organic', which is important for a product meant specifically to promote healing; there are no pesticides.
Certified Organic Hemp Seed Oil- (Manufactured in the United Kingdom) The seed of the Cannabis sativa plant, is high Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA) content, which helps with skin oil balance and cellular repair (supports skin’s ability to heal). This is a dark green liquid oil at room temperature with a slightly nutty/earthy scent. It is completely non-comodegenic, (it does not clog pores), and the GLA reduces dermatitis or skin inflammation over time. In the UK, manufacturers are not restricted from pressing oil from live seed. The oil from the UK is cold pressed, so it has higher bioactivity of the essential fatty acids. Hemp seed imported to the US for manufacturing is treated with high temperatures to "sterilize" it. Essential Fatty Acids have myriad health benefits, and there are a high proportion of them in raw hemp seed. In case you wonder, there is less tetrahydocanabinol (THC) in a liter of hempseed oil than there is opium in a poppyseed muffin. Sorry kids.
Certified Organic Tea Tree Oil- (Manufactured in Australia) This oil comes from distilling the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia tree. This tree is related to Eucalyptus and Cadjeput which also share some of the anti-fungal and anti-bacterial qualities. Web MD says this, "Tea tree oil is applied to the skin (used topically) for infections such as acne, fungal infections of the nail (onychomycosis), lice, scabies, athlete’s foot (tinea pedis), and ringworm. It is also used topically as a local antiseptic for cuts and abrasions, for burns, insect bites and stings, boils, vaginal infections, recurrent herpes labialis, toothache, infections of the mouth and nose, sore throat, and for ear infections such as otitis media and otitis externa.". That about covers it.

Nature. (Respect it.) Nurture. (Care about it.) Imagination. (Evolve it.)
Be Well.
